One of the common questions we get from our customers is how to choose wall decal colours to match their interiors. Today, we would like to share with you one of the easiest methods.
This method of using one base colour plus a different shade or tone of the base colour to match is called monochromatic. For example, if the base colour is light pink, we pick another more intense pink like hot pink (which is fuschia) to match.

To help you visualise, have a look at the image above. You can see that we have applied a more intense, hot pink decal onto the more subtle, light pink wall. Although both are pink colours, they are of a different intensity.

Bear in mind that if you want the decal design to stand out, you need to match a light colour with a darker colour to create contrast. To illustrate, take a look at the above image. When a darker green decal is applied on the light green wall, the design is striking. However, if we were to switch the decal colour to light green, the design can hardly be seen when applied on the same light green wall.

Given that it is straightforward and easy to do, this method of colour matching has been rather popular. If you want a visual effect that is soothing on the eye and looks elegant, this is a great way to match colours!
